Result of the survey of Tohoku University International Students now available
We would like to inform you that the results of the Tohoku University International Student Survey are now available. These results were presented at the international symposium on “The Great East Japan Earthquake's Lesson on International Cooperation."
The respondents of this survey were all international students registered at Tohoku University. The survey was conducted with the aim of learning their reasons for studying abroad and ascertaining the current situation of school and daily life in order to enhance the support system for international students.
In addition, the survey includes questions about immediate actions taken by international students and their thoughts on the university's response to the Great East Japan Earthquake of March 2011. It is expected that the survey will help the university to further understand the needs of international students in the event of another disaster, and to improve safety management.
